Ruff Life Ohio is based in Parma, Ohio, and proudly serves the surrounding communities. We’re conveniently located in the heart of Parma Circle, about 7 miles east of Cleveland Hopkins Airport.

Parma, Parma Heights, Brooklyn, Middleburg Heights, Seven Hills, Independence, Brook Park, and North Royalton; to name a few.


Locations outside a 10 mile radius from Parma Circle will be subject to an additional travel fee of $1/mile.


Please note: a safe parking spot must be available at your location.

 It depends on the service. For dog boarding or daycare, there may be times when Tina is away for a few hours. During those times, my work-from-home significant other will watch your pup. For drop-ins, pet walks, or house sitting, it will always be Tina providing the care.

Absolutely! You’ll get regular live updates, photos, and sometimes even videos in your Walkies Journal app. You'll never feel out of the loop.

Walkies for short, is the app Ruff Life Ohio uses for booking services, visit updates, invoices, and payments — all in one convenient place. You’ll receive live photos and notes from each visit so you can always see how your pet is doing.

Yes, after completing your Meet and Greet, you’ll be provided with a Liability Waiver and Release Form.

For the safety of all pets in our care, Ruff Life Ohio does not accept dogs with a history of aggression. We maintain a one-bite policy — if a dog bites, even if it appears accidental, we will no longer be able to continue providing care.

Booking 🍃

New clients can start by submitting a request through the New Client Form on the Contact page. Once your Meet and Greet is complete, all future services can be conveniently booked through the Walkies Journal app.

Ruff Life Ohio requires at least 3 days’ notice for all bookings. Last-minute or same-day requests are not accepted unless it is an emergency.

Cancellations made within 24 hours of service may be subject to a fee. Please contact us as soon as possible if your plans change. Multiple cancellations will result in a discharge from services.

 Ruff Life Ohio offers flexible payment options. Secure payments can be made through Walkies PayLink (powered by Stripe). Zelle, Venmo, and cash is also accepted.

 Yes. An additional $10 will be added to any service that falls on the following holidays: New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

 Puppies are dogs under 1 year old. Giant breeds are dogs with an adult weight of over 100 lbs.

Boarding & Daycare 🍃

Safety, comfort, and supervision is my top priority. All dogs are carefully pre-screened for temperament and compatibility prior to their stay. Baby gates are placed throughout the home to allow dogs to decompress or enjoy quiet, separate spaces when needed.


When I step away, doggie cameras allow me to check in anytime to ensure all pups remain safe and comfortable.


For additional peace of mind, I am also certified in pet first aid and CPR.

Please bringing your dog’s regular food, any medications they need, a leash, their crate/dog bed (if preferred), and a favorite toy or blanket that smells like home. Familiar items provide your dog with comfort and ease separation anxiety.

No. Unless your pup prefers the safety of their own crate, they will have full access to the house (including furniture and beds) and the fenced-in yard at all times.

Ruff Life Ohio's boarding & daycare is best suited for dogs who are calm, social, or a little shy or anxious and comfortable in a relaxed, home-style setting. Because we do not have the space to safely meet the needs of very high-energy dogs, we are unfortunately not able to accommodate them.

For safety, the rabies vaccine is non-negotiable and proof of an up-to-date vaccination must be provided.


Un-neutered dogs may be accepted on a limited basis, but only one will be hosted at a time, as they can be more prone to territorial behavior.

Every dog adjusts differently to a new environment. We take things slowly, allow time for decompression, and use separate spaces when needed so your dog can settle in comfortably.


To help set dogs up for success, we recommend a Meet and Greet and offer a free Welcome Visit so your dog can become familiar with the home, routine, and us before longer bookings.

Our home environment is best suited for dogs who are calm, social, or a little shy or anxious and comfortable in a relaxed, home-style setting. Because we do not have the space to safely meet the needs of very high-energy dogs, we are unfortunately not able to accommodate them.

Yes, with requirements. Proof of liability insurance is required, dogs must have no bite or aggression history, and all new clients must complete a Welcome Visit plus two additional visits (daycare or overnight) while the owner is home before extended stays are approved. Owners are strongly encouraged to plan ahead, as this process cannot be expedited.

Walks 🍃

Typically between 20-25 minutes of total walking time depending on how long it takes to get your pet ready with their harness, collar, or leash.

Safety comes first! During storms, extreme heat, or icy conditions, we’ll shorten outdoor time and focus on indoor enrichment and potty breaks.

For drop-in walks only dogs from the same household are walked together unless discussed otherwise. During daycare and boarding, there may be pack walks with other compatible dogs.

For safety reasons, I am not able to accommodate dogs that strongly pull on the leash; especially larger dogs. To ensure a safe and comfortable walk for everyone, dogs should be reasonably manageable on leash.

Drop-Ins & House Sitting 🍃

Of course! Complementary services include plant watering, mail/package retrieval, fish feeding, and taking the trash out.

Nope — just Tina will be in your home, providing personalized care and attention for your pets and property.

I’m experienced in administering oral medications, topical treatments, drops, injectables (including diabetic insulin), suppositories, and subcutaneous fluids.


For pets needing specialized care (such as wound care, palliative support, post-operative care, or assistance with a wheelchair) longer visits can be arranged. Please reach out for a personalized quote.

Home sitting requires a minimum of 3 months’ notice to ensure availability. Longer notice is recommended during peak travel seasons and holidays.

Yes, drop-in visits between 10pm and 5am incur an additional $10 fee.

I’ve had a deep appreciation for animals for as long as I can remember, growing up on a farm in rural Pennsylvania where caring for them was part of everyday life. That hands-on experience shaped my understanding of animals and still influences how I care for them today. I share my home with two rescue dogs and a cat, so pet care is truly part of my daily life.In addition to my lifelong love for animals, I’m also a registered nurse, so caring for others is second nature to me. I’ve been professionally pet sitting since 2025, and I’m Pet First Aid and CPR certified, with experience administering medications and providing calm, attentive, detail-oriented care.I bring the same compassion and professionalism from my nursing career into my pet care — treating every pet like family, with patience, dignity, and respect.

Manager 🍃

Olive is a 10 year old Dachshund/Yorkie ("dorkie") mix that we rescued from an animal hoarding situation in 2016. She’s a big barker but incredibly friendly. She loves to go on walks, take naps, and chase squirrels. As Ruff Life Ohio's Manager she ensures that all the dogs keep in line. She is continuously awarded Employee of the Month every month.

Emotional Support Specialist 🍃

Gouda is a 4 year old Miniature Poodle. She’s very timid but such a happy girl once she feels comfortable. We rescued her in 2024 from an Amish dog breeder after she was no longer able to reproduce. Before being adopted, she participated in Mansfield Prison's cell dog program. As the Emotional Support Specialist she prefers working behind the scenes and is the calming presence of the company.
